Hale Bopp close to setting over the hills of the Luberon in southern France. Photographed on 6/4/97 using a 55mm f/1.8 lens on unhypersenitised Fuji Super G800 Plus. Exposure was 25 secs on a fixed tripod. The excellent transparency of the air is evident from the number of stars visible close to the horizon.
